Hand feed our gentle llamas Dusty & Rusty (Rusty is “rust-colored” & Dusty is off-white with brown spots). Visit with them in their paddocks. Each spring the llamas receive their “summer haircuts” and their wool is woven into rugs you’ll find throughout our resort.
Just over one of our hills is Brownderosa Llamas. Dr. Kristy Brown tends a herd of 50 well trained llamas that are safe for kids to handle so a llama trek can be a family friendly outdoor activity.
Hiking is a healthy way to enjoy the outdoors and llamas love hiking. As an added bonus, the llamas can carry all your water, food and gear. Llamas are willing companions to help you enjoy beautiful scenic vistas and a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Kristy Brown leads scheduled llama treks throughout the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.
