If you are looking for good old fashioned wintertime fun, you have got to head straight to Justin Trails Resort!
Featured activities include snow tubing, snowshoeing, skiing, hiking and llama treks. For all of our outdoor activities, we sell a trail pass for the day so you may enjoy as many activities as you like. A trail pass is $5/person/day and free of charge for children under age five. Ski rental is $10/day and snowshoe rental is $5/day. Snow tubes are included in the $5 trail pass. We offer lessons, guided snowshoe hikes and guided skiing.
If you can walk, you can snowshoe, no experience is necessary for this sport. All you need is a pair of snowshoes (available for rent), warm clothes, sturdy boots and a sense of adventure! Snowshoe rentals are available in the Lodge for $5 per person/per day (limited availability – first come, first served). Our 4 miles of groomed trails are of varying difficulty for snowshoers of all skill levels. Snowshoeing is a great way for the entire family to take in the winter wonderland around Justin Trails Resort.
Escape to a Nordic paradise with over 10 miles of 10 – 12 foot wide ski trails groomed for skate and Nordic skiing. If Nordic skiing is classical music then skating is rock and roll. Skating became a thing of its own in the mid-1980s when American Olympic medalist Bill Koch skated in World Cup races. Skate skis are all glide and no grip. You’ll glide forward by pushing off sideways, first one ski then the other.
You know you’ve got the right wintertude when you wake up sore with an anaerobic hangover and you still think it was worth it.
A few tips to make your adventure an enjoyable one. We’re pet-friendly and pets may stay with you in our cozy cabins & suites. Dress warm! Wearing multiple layers is beneficial so you can take one off after you work up a sweat. Remember gloves, a hat and scarf. When you need a break, sip hot cocoa, roast s’mores and rest in our fully equipped, cozy day lodge facilities.
