There are a number of resort activities to enjoy here at Justin Trails. During the winter, including snowshoeing and bird or wildlife watching. And, don’t forget! You can always feed our friendly llamas, Porter and Stout.  They love their treats!

Experience some of the Best Cross Country Skiing Near our Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast ResortIf you want to go explore our property, rent a pair of our snowshoes and head off on a magical wintry journey through the Driftless Region. Around the edge of our property, you’ll find a 4-mile network of groomed trails that are just perfect for snowshoeing. We definitely recommend trying this at night, too. There’s nothing quite as beautiful as a winter landscape illuminated by nothing but the starry night and moon above.

If you want even more cross country skiing trails to explore, there are plenty nearby. Here are 3 of our favorite places:

  • Wildcat Mountain State Park, which has 7 beautiful miles of cross country skiing trails that are suitable for both beginner and intermediate skiers. Snowshoers love the 2.5 mile Old Settlers Trail. Throughout the park, enjoy scenic the contrasting landforms as sandstone cliffs rise in front of you, and take the time to enjoy the stunning views as you make your way around the park.
  • The Kickapoo Valley Reserve is a stunning place for nordic skiing.  Here, the sandstone cliffs tower above the winding Kickapoo River below, providing an exceptional juxtaposition of Mother Nature’s sheer power and beauty during these winter months. There are 10-miles of groomed trails throughout the reserve
  • If you’re looking for solitude and exceptional natural beauty, head to Black River State Forest, where you’ll find 14 miles of groomed cross country ski trails to enjoy.
