Justin Trails Resort is located just 5 miles south of Sparta, 6 miles from the Elroy-Sparta Trail, and 30 miles from the charming river town of La Crosse.
Beyond our property, there are plenty of things to see and do in the area, including the following:
- Hiking at various state and local parks and trail networks
- Kayaking, canoeing, or fishing on the area’s lakes and rivers
- Biking on the Elroy-Sparta Trail, or other great bike trails in the area
- Horseback riding with local guides
- Wine and cheese tasting on the Driftless Wisconsin Wine & Cheese Trail
- There also is a fiberglass boneyard (FAST Corp) outside Sparta, which is certainly a stop to make if you’re into curious things!

Our 200-acre property has a wonderful network of dog-friendly trails to explore, as well as 2 championship disc-golf courses to challenge your family on. Access to both our trails and disc-golf courses are provided free of charge when you stay with us, otherwise, there is a $5 daily fee for their use. And, moreover, there is plenty of lawn space for a game of croquet or softball.
Nighttime at our resort is also an exceptionally special time to spend with your family. Relax and unwind around our outdoor fire pit, roast s’mores, and enjoy stargazing under the dark and beautiful night sky. We’re happy to loan you a telescope! Our cabins are the perfect place to spend your family vacations in Wisconsin. Not only do they give you access to our extensive range of amenities, but our Wisconsin cabins offer you the natural social distancing you need from your summer vacations this year. Moreover, not only are we isolated (in a good way!), but our Wisconsin cabins are both dog and family-friendly.
We offer 2 different cabins on our property that are ideal for family vacations in Wisconsin, including a Scandinavian-Scribe log cabin and a rustic cottage. The Paul Bunyon Cabin which is just as popular as it is beautiful can sleep up to 6 people. It was built with Aspen trees that were logged from our very own farm. The Cottage is also ideal for couples or families, as it sleeps a total of 4 people with a king bed and twin bunk beds. We have upgraded to private fire pits for each building. Borrow one of our telescopes to watch the night sky.
We also offer a range of camping opportunities, including our camping cabin that can accommodate up to 4 people and a number of tent campsites. For some tiny and intimate lodging, try the tipi or the Snuggalo.
