Classic Course follows our left hand valley and is about a mile in length. It takes a foursome about 2 hours to play. Expect a mix of wide open fairways, dramatic elevation changes and tightly wooded shots along Bambi Lane. The tee pads are 5′ by 12′ concrete and the baskets are Mac3. 2013 Justin Trails Open/Evergreen Disc Golf Tournament September 15 & 16.Ams & Recreational play Sat. September 15. Pro and Advanced play Saturday and Sunday September 15 & 16.
Big Brother Course was constructed in 2007 and concrete tee pads installed in 2008. An opening 1025 foot shot starts you out in our right hand valley. This course will test the mettle of the toughest players. The course is three + miles long and takes two to four hours to play. If you are up to the challenge you will find blind shots, enormous downhills, amazing vistas, many risk-reward scenarios, an incredible finish and a day of golf you will never forget. Bring water and a snack. Big Brother Course was designed by professional disc golfer and course designer, Timmy Gill and Jeff Noel and friends. Check out the reviews at www.dgcoursereview.com or www.discgolfscene.com.
There has been an annual tournament at Justin Trails for the last 7 years. 2008 was our first time as a stop on the Wisconsin Tour. We keep our baskets in the ground year round. When ski trails are groomed we ask that you refrain from playing the courses.
The grass on the fairways is cut weekly. The grass on the rough areas is cut monthly. We loan discs for use on our course. We have Innova and Discraft discs for sale in the pro shop. The course is open year round during daylight hours or at night by appointment. The fee to play or hike is $5/person/day. Scorecards are available in the Lodge. The Lodge has an indoor bathroom, snacks, soda and water for sale. Justin Trails Resort near Sparta, Wisconsin is a great place to play disc golf. During winter we host an Ice Bowl competition. Spend the night in one of our cabins or suites and play disc golf any time, day or night.
“First of all the land this two course setup is on is breath taken . Two hundred acres of wooded hills some peak at 1100 feet (western hills of wis .untouched by glaciers) nice and secluded . Big brother hole one is flat a strait ,open drive that would be easy if it wasn’t 1025 ft hole 2 is 339 uphill hole3 is 400ft mostly downhill then up into the woods holes 4 and 5 go up an old dirt logging type road it seems you walk uphill forever till you reach the tee pad of hole 6 but when you do you are at the summet of a 1100 ft hill . Stop and take in the view it’s only hole 6 and it’s about to get interesting . You will see tight wooded fairways with tones of trees for your hitting pleasure . Near vertical uphill shots , drives across valleys. You can hit a tree and roll hundreds of feet down hill and lots of baskets on hills DO NOT miss your putt ! This is not a normal course it is a right of passage in a beautiful Forrest and the fee is the best 5$ I have spent in a long time ! The 635 ft down hill sJhot on 18 is a great way to end it.” Dan Sinkey
